Postman Pat set your teeth on edge? Here's something new to amuse the wee treasures

For anyone who contemplates the arrival of a CD of children's songs in their household with a certain dread, in the knowledge that they will be condemned to listen to the same dozen tunes over a trillion times if their bairns warm to them, My Silver Balloon will not come as any comfort: for this is a superior example of the genre, with songs written by the former singer with the only sporadically rubbish indie group Dodgy, Matthew Priest, plus broadcaster Jon Snow narrating a story. But the real selling point is that each CD is personalised with the name of your child: so 'Sam' will crop up in the lyrics on at least 50 occasions, bringing bright smiles to the early-morning breakfast table.
